Crate Designs carries on a tradition of producing quality Canadian furniture at our factory in
Chesley, Ontario - since 1906!
The company was formed as The Chesley Chair Company, producing chairs
for other furniture manufacturers. As the product line was broadened
beyond just chairs the name was changed to Heirloom of Canada. After
discontinuing the Heirloom line of traditional styles in the 1990's, to
concentrate on Crate furniture, the name was changed to Crate
Designs™.

Crate™ is characterized by its clean, simple lines and durable oil finish. The furniture has a hand-crafted look and feel, with sizes designed to make it easy for you to mix and match.

Our quality construction begins with carefully selected hard
pine (Southern Yellow and
Radiata), ideal for long lasting furniture. Veneered panels are used on doors and most tops, for easier cleaning and greater stability.

fabric patterns and colours.
the finish
The standard oil finish* is simple and easy to care for - the inevitable scrape or scratch is almost invisible.
You can also choose a lacquer finish on most tops or order your furniture pieces unfinished to personalize them yourself!

mattresses
Premier foam mattresses are crafted in our own factory to ensure quality and value. You can be assured of a long life with our high-density foam construction.
Dreameasy latex and memory foam bedding is made in Canada to our specifications. Details

the guarantee
We guarantee that our furniture will be rough and
rustic, will have gaps and cracks, but will not fall apart for as long
as you own it!
Shipping charges for any necessary replacement parts are included during
the first year of ownership.
Foam, fabric and mechanisms (non-wood parts) are guaranteed against
faulty workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery.
As most mills do not guarantee their fabric we will not be held
responsible for wear or fading of our products’ fabric.

This guarantee is limited to the original purchaser and also limited to
furniture used indoors under normal residential conditions only. Your
invoice is your proof of purchase. See your retailer
for further details and commercial warranty terms.

Replacement upholstered components are available -
pricing is shown on the same page as the original model. Almost all
other parts of the furniture we sell are available from the factory in case of loss or damage.
This is furniture that never gets “thrown out”!
